Andreas Salmoyraghi & Rafael Lopez Saubidet

Andrés and Rafa have been friends since they were 14 years old. They were born in Argentina but have been around the world quite a bit. They studied cinema in New York together, lived wall to wall like if it was Melrose Place in Buenos Aires, and were even part of a footbol team called the Ninjas. But their professional career started in separate places.  

As young directors they were part of two of the biggest and rival production companies in Argentina and even pitched for the same job several times. Rafa was the first to leave the country and moved to London where he spent several years while Andres moved to L.A. for his share of solo adventure in life. And then, fate put them in the same country again, Spain.

Andres has obtained many international awards such as the Young Directors Award in Cannes 2012,  The one Show, the new york festilval, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Wave Festival Rio de Janeiro, FIAP festival Miami and El Sol de San Sebastian in Spain.

As well as being named best director for Argentina and second best director for the Iberoamérica region, at El Ojo Iberoamérica 2013.

As for Rafael, His commercials were awarded in Festivals such as Cannes (he had 2 golden Lions at his 24 years old), London International Awards, Clio, San Sebastián, Lápiz de Oro, Fiap and Circulo de Creativos.

Since they both now lived in Madrid, they took the relationship further and finally became a directing duo. They complement each other greatly and more than 20 years of friendship lets them communicate almost without talking. The first project they did together was the Christmas Lottery ad which is considered the most important ad campaign of the year in Spain. Between them they also have won awards in almost all the festival's in the world and shot commercials around the globe.
